The Union Pub­lic Ser­vice Com­mis­sion (UPSC) will hold the Spe­cial Class Rail­way Appren­tices’ Exam­i­na­tion, 2009 on 26th July, 2009 for recruit­ment to the Spe­cial Class Appren­tices in the Mechan­i­cal Depart­ment of Indian Rail­ways. The exam­i­na­tion will be held at var­i­ous cen­tres across the county.

Con­di­tions of Eli­gi­bil­ity:

Age Lim­its: Not less than 17 years and not more than 21 years on 1st August, 2009. The upper age limit is relax­able for SC/ST/ OBC and cer­tain other cat­e­gories of can­di­dates to the extent spec­i­fied in the Notice.
Edu­ca­tional Qual­i­fi­ca­tion: Must have passed in the first or sec­ond divi­sion, the Inter­me­di­ate or an equiv­a­lent Exam­i­na­tion of a Uni­ver­sity or Board approved by the Gov­ern­ment of India with Math­e­mat­ics and at least one of the sub­jects Physics and Chem­istry as sub­jects of the examination.
