Job Descrip­tion : The posi­tion is suited for a hands-on, highly moti­vated and ener­getic indi­vid­ual who is expected to work with very lit­tle guid­ance. The indi­vid­ual must show a strong pas­sion to tech­ni­cally guide highly tal­ented engi­neers located glob­ally. The indi­vid­ual must demon­strate lead­er­ship skills on prod­uct & tech­nol­ogy, exe­cu­tion and peo­ple fronts. 

Work is non-routine and very com­plex, involv­ing the appli­ca­tion of advanced technical/non-technical skills in the On Demand Platofrm area. Lead­ing con­trib­u­tor indi­vid­u­ally and as a tech­ni­cal lead, pro­vid­ing direc­tion and men­tor­ing to others.

Key respon­si­bil­i­ties :
Design and archi­tect LCM for On Demand plat­form.
Research on cut­ting edge Ser­vice Life Cycle Man­age­ment tech­nolo­gies and con­cepts
Help estab­lish archi­tec­ture stan­dards and best prac­tices for enter­prise grid deploy­ment and man­age­ment
Par­tic­i­pate in vir­tu­al­iza­tion and test­ing, bench­mark­ing and capac­ity plan­ning exer­cise
Archi­tect cross plat­form inte­gra­tion solu­tions for var­i­ous Ora­cle prod­ucts and appli­ca­tions for opti­mal sys­tem archi­tec­ture, per­for­mance and avail­abil­ity.
Use exper­tise and under­stand­ing of prod­uct and related tech­nol­ogy to solve real busi­ness and oper­a­tional prob­lems.
Par­tic­i­pate in design and devel­op­ment of tools for rapid deploy­ment, con­fig­u­ra­tion man­age­ment of Ora­cle On Demand Grid, etc.
Pro­vide guid­ance and assis­tance to other team members

Desired :
Min­i­mum of Mas­terâs degree in Engi­neer­ing or Com­puter Sci­ence from an accred­ited uni­ver­sity , Ph.D pre­ferred
For Bach­e­lorâs degree holder, min­i­mum 8 yrs of expe­ri­ence in enter­prise soft­ware prod­uct. Min­i­mum Expe­ri­ence lev­els for can­di­dates with higher degree can be adjusted accord­ingly. Excep­tions can be made for can­di­dates with extra­or­di­nary cre­den­tials.
Proven track record of leading/working in a world class R&D team
Proven track record of inno­v­a­tive solutions/products to solve new prob­lems
Knowl­edge and expe­ri­ence imple­ment­ing solu­tions
Expe­ri­ence in the design and imple­men­ta­tion of devel­op­ment, exe­cu­tion, and oper­a­tions archi­tec­ture solu­tions, includ­ing (but not lim­ited to):
Ser­vice Life Cycle Man­age­ment Con­cepts, Tools and Tech­nolo­gies
Broad under­stand­ing of rel­e­vant prod­ucts and tech­nolo­gies, specif­i­cally in the areas of Data­base con­cepts, Appli­ca­tion Servers, SOA, Web­Ser­vices, ESB, SMP, Grid, HA etc. OR
Expe­ri­ence in soft­ware con­fig­u­ra­tion man­age­ment, includ­ing change con­trol, ver­sion con­trol and migra­tion con­trol
Knowl­edge and expe­ri­ence with appli­ca­tion secu­rity
Knowl­edge and expe­ri­ence of Ora­cle prod­ucts prefer­able
Knowl­edge and expe­ri­ence with Unix, Linux, Java/J2EE
Expe­ri­ence in pro­gram­ming using Perl, shell, C, Java or sim­i­lar languages
