We have devel­oped cool new tech­nol­ogy of deliv­er­ing HD video over the inter­net that will take bol­ly­wood as well as hol­ly­wood by storm.  We are based in San Fran­cisco with offices in Mum­bai (next to the IIT cam­pus) and are look­ing for strong and smart engi­neers like yourself.

We are in the process of pro­duc­tiz­ing our patent pend­ing tech­nol­ogy and look­ing for senior devel­op­ers  who are pas­sion­ate about push­ing their lim­its to show their tal­ent. You will be respon­si­ble for defin­ing, design­ing and archi­tect­ing var­i­ous mod­ules on our video deliv­ery net­work as well as our web application.

Web UI Design Engineer

We are look­ing for a very dynamic and highly ener­getic indi­vid­ual to lead our web UI expe­ri­ence design effort. The per­son will be
• Able to under­stand and mas­ter new tech­nolo­gies quickly
• Strong focus on qual­ity and atten­tion to detail
• Able to quickly under­stand and solve unique and undoc­u­mented pro­gram­ming prob­lems
• Must be ener­getic and self-starting
• Team player, proac­tive and loves tech­nol­ogy
• Approaches UI projects with a soft­ware engi­neer­ing per­spec­tive and rel­ishes in hav­ing test and code cov­er­age for the whole code base.
• A com­mit­ment on Test Dri­ven Devel­op­ment
• Excel­lent orga­ni­za­tional, com­mu­ni­ca­tion, and doc­u­men­ta­tion skills and abil­ity to work inde­pen­dently, mak­ing appro­pri­ate deci­sions and seek­ing input when needed
• Cre­ate, main­tain, and evan­ge­lize UI style guides for appli­ca­tion devel­op­ers and designers

Tech­ni­cal Require­ments:
• Expert knowl­edge of HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Thor­ough expe­ri­ence with dynamic, inter­ac­tive con­tent in Flash, expe­ri­ence work­ing with Action­Script (2.0 & 3.0)
• Design­ing mod­u­lar and object-oriented Action­Script with a deep under­stand­ing of design pat­terns like MVC
• Very solid under­stand­ing of cross bor­wser javascript com­pat­i­bil­ity & opti­miza­tion tech­niques.
• Deep expe­ri­ence with devel­op­ing web appli­ca­tions tar­geted at all the major browsers (IE, Fire­Fox and Safari) with thor­ough knowl­edge of the lim­i­ta­tions and capa­bil­i­ties of each browser
• Good under­stand­ing of UI and usabil­ity design prin­ci­ples
• Expe­ri­ence with ajax, xslt, json and frame­works like YUI, scrip­tac­u­lous etc.
• Bach­e­lor of Com­puter Sci­ence or related BS degree or related work expe­ri­ence.
Server Soft­ware Engineer

We are look­ing for expe­ri­enced sys­tems soft­ware engi­neers to archi­tect and imple­ment var­i­ous com­po­nents of our video deliv­ery net­work. The per­son will have a
• Can-do atti­tude, result ori­ented and a deep pas­sion for excel­lent cus­tomer expe­ri­ence
• Very fast learner, detail ori­ented and pas­sion­ate about new tech­nolo­gies
• Strong focus on qual­ity with a deep com­mit­ment to test dri­ven devel­op­ment and a pen­chant for unit tests.
• Excel­lent orga­ni­za­tional, com­mu­ni­ca­tion, and doc­u­men­ta­tion skills and abil­ity to work inde­pen­dently, mak­ing appro­pri­ate deci­sions and seek­ing input when needed
• Team player, proac­tive and loves technology

Tech­ni­cal Require­ments:
• Strong expe­ri­ence in Java, servlets, JSP, JDBC and XML
• Strong expe­ri­ence build­ing highly scal­able web appli­ca­tions in J2EE and JBOSS
• Pro­fi­cient with mysql or post­gres data­base. Abil­ity to write, review and tune db queries. Expe­ri­ence using hiber­nate
• Thor­ough under­stand­ing of advanced java top­ics like mul­ti­thread­ing, garbage col­lec­tion
• Expe­ri­ence in diag­nos­ing per­for­mance, mem­ory and other run­time sta­bil­ity issues in java.
• Extremely pro­fi­cient in prob­lem diag­no­sis, trou­bleshoot­ing and prob­lem solv­ing
• Expe­ri­ence in per­for­mance tun­ing large-scale web appli­ca­tions.
• Deep under­stand­ing of design pat­terns, design skills using UML and com­mit­ted to test dri­ven devel­op­ment
• Bach­e­lor of Com­puter Sci­ence or related BS degree or related work expe­ri­ence  of 4+ years in java development
